Weekly 3 hour wheel throwing pottery classes

You may book 1, 2 or 3 three week sessions Classes run 6:00pm-9:00pm

Classes must be paid in full in order to secure your spot. All participants must be 9 or older

3 - week session: $185.00 +HST

6 - week session: $345.00 + HST

9 - week session: $485.00 + HST

week 1:

Create 4-5 Wheel Thrown pots using a pottery wheel. Learn how to centre and control the clay to achieve your desired shape and size. Different clay techniques will be explored such as ’Ageteware” which enables you at achieve many interesting designs. Those that decide to continue with another session, will be able to enhance their skills ie. creating lidded items, slip trailing, sgraffito designs as well as many other ideas.

Week 2:

After drying under plastic for a week, your “leather hard” pots will be trimmed, bottoms refined with foot bases, handles can be added, designs carved in, underglaze transfers can be added etc.

Week 3:

After first kiln firing, glazes will be applied in many interesting colours and textures rendering your pots food, dishwasher, microwave and even oven safe and not to forget, beautifully decorative!
